November 2007 during site visit to the new Asda Store development in Andover, which is planned to open for business on 10th March 2008. The Cinema hopes to 'go live' later in the year during May.
On November 14th 2007, accompanied by County Councillor Pat West, and Deputy Leader of Hampshire County Council, Michael Woodhall, Janet meets HRH the Duke of Gloucester at the Official opening of Test Way Housings new low cost development in Wherwell, near Andover. The Duke is an Architect by profession and praised the standard of work of this excellent housing development at Wherewell. Considerable support was give to this development by local residents including the Parish Council.
In September 2007, Janet met up with many ward residents from Roman Way who had come to the Knights Enham School, King Arthur's Way, during the Fun Day which Test Valley Borough Council had organised for the residents. It was extremely well attended with lots of parents and kids and enjoying the free food and goody bags provided, and "the face painting his always a smash hit
with the little ones" said a visitor from Vespasian Road.

Mary has experienced problems in crossing the road in her wheelchair, due to the height of the footpath. Janet agreed to meet Mary and her daughter on 24th May, to look at the problem, before taking further action with the appropriate authorities.

Jane says she is "still very concerned like many other residents who live in the area about the continued speed of the traffic through the Village". Janet Whiteley is now actively pursuing other speed calming measures there could be introduced to ensure the speed limit is observed.

20th December 06. King Arthur's Way, Prior to TVBC cleanup of slippery leaves causing considerable inconvenience to the elderly and young mothers with babies in push chairs. Result... Test Valley Borough Council came out Christmas week to clear away the leaves and debris.

Assisting a resident in Cricketers Way, when a tree had been blown over in the January storms. Cleared away shortly afterwards by Test Valley Borough Council.

In January 2007, On the Smannell Road, with a resident concerned about flooding caused by blocked ditches and gullies. Within a very short time after Janet and Phil had been contacted a commitment was gained from Hampshire County Council to clear the ditches. The work has now begun in February, and will be monitored very closely.
