- Janet Whiteley was honoured to be Mayoress of Test Valley during 2004/5 when she supported her husband Neville as Mayor.
- Janet has spent 35 years working in the commercial business world, including British Airways and nearly 17 with the Andover based HSA (Hospital Saving Association) in a Senior Marketing capacity. She is an Interpreter for the Deaf and has also worked in this sector on a professional and voluntary basis.
- Janet is an Executive Member of the Hampshire Association of Parish and Town Councils for Test Valley, and has a strong community interest in Planning, Flooding, Traffic Management, and safe Children’s Play facilities.
- Janet has been actively involved in various charity and fundraising events over 25 years, some of which include The Countess of Brecknock Hospice, The Children’s Society, and other Andover and Test Valley based charities.
